Subject: Memorial Day

On this occasion of Memorial Day, I would like to honor all soldiers who have given up their lives in past wars to protect our freedom. I pray especially for those who have lost their lives in the Iraq war. I hope their families are consoled, in some tiny way, knowing the gift their husbands and wives; fathers and mothers; sons and daughters are to so many of us who today and always remember them as our HERO’S.
Lord Jesus, pour you love upon the families of fallen soldiers grant them the knowledge and hope that you have embraced their loved ones and that someday soon they will be reunited. Our Lady, Mother Mary, I ask that you cover and protect all soldiers fighting today with your Immaculate Mantel and bring them home safely.
St. Michael the Archangel deliver us from evil!
