Due to the many changes in work schedule and long hours due to the many hurricanes in Florida, I apologize for it seems like such a long time since I last wrote to all of you on the Counseling Catholics.com newsletter. I would like to send out my heart felt prayers to all those that live in the path of Florida's recurrent hurricanes. I also pray for all those in the Caribbean, most especially for the families who have lost their lives.
I believe the Lord is calling us to reflect and know what is important. Many of us have boarded our homes. Many of us sought refuge in shelters because our homes where not adequate.
Yet, I ask you my brothers and sisters….while you where boarding your homes or as you watched on television thousands protecting their homes and material goods did you once think, “Have I boarded my heart"
I am concerned by the deliberate assault on our hearts. The impact of Television, internet, infomercials, peer pressure, schools, misconceptions, misinformation, and lack of prayer, selfishness, pride, and the list could go on and on.
We must take time before the Blessed Sacrament and ask the Lord to bless and protect us. We are living very difficult times of confusion. Families beware that as the domestic church you need special and extra protection. Satan’s ultimate goal is to destroy the domestic church because if he destroys the domestic church then there will be no priest and their will be no religious and finally no CHURCH.
Our hearts are fragile. The greatest trap is spiritual pride. Only by the grace of God can we say that we have not fallen. Let us have compassion and be merciful with our brothers and sisters. Let us pray and let us extend our arms out to all and everyone close to our heart.
Make sure your heart is boarded in the Love and Mercy of Our Lord before the storm comes!
God Bless You,
